Those spying eyes may now be gone And as painful as it was to see you go It is just as relieving to finally be free Of the presence I once used to know Releasing my heart from your grasp I cleanse my mind of your memories No place within me belonged to you I shall no longer place you in my worries Transcending beyond the shallow confines Of my ever expanding, shifting heart To escape the wrongs of yesterday I must find the path to a fresh new start All things change; it is inevitably true There is no stop or rewind button in this life We must simply analyze the options we have And hope the choices that we make are right
